Welcome to the 2025 Executive Leadership Intensive!

Leadership is one of the four core values of The Association of Theological Schools. We believe that leadership is a critical factor in any school's success, and this is why the Association invests in leaders through its wide range of leadership development programs.

The Seminar for New Executive Officers and the Executive Leadership Colloquium - the two programs that make up this week's events - are designed to address the specific needs of presidents and executive deans at ATS member schools. Throughout the coming days, we invite you to lean into this time with your community of practice, learning both from industry experts and from your colleagues and peers, as we explore the challenges of leading institutions through the changes and transformations necessary to keep pace with evolving needs and contexts while maintaining steady focus on the calling and mission that root us in our work and communities.

We are grateful to the Lilly Endowment for providing funding for ATS’ leadership development programming for those who serve in member schools. They have supported this program for over three decades, because they share ATS’ belief that good leadership makes a difference.
